What this tool is

kids-school-mail is a private automation tool built and used by one family (two parents, their own accounts only). It is not a public service, has no user accounts or sign-up, and is not offered to anyone outside this family.

What data it accesses

How data is used

Each matching email's text is sent to an AI text-summarization API (Google Gemini and/or Anthropic Claude, used interchangeably) solely to produce a short plain-language summary and, where applicable, extract a candidate event (title, date, time, location). No email content is used for any purpose other than generating that summary and event for the two parents' own use.

The resulting summaries, and a lightweight processing history (sender, subject, timestamps, whether an event was detected), are stored in a private database on the family's own server. This data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or made available to any third party beyond the AI providers named above (for the transient purpose of generating a summary) and Telegram (for delivering that summary to the two parents' own private chats).

Data retention and access

Only the two parents who own this tool and its underlying Google accounts have any access to the data it processes or stores. There is no other user base.
